I didn't even bring my jetta in because each time they quoted me it was about 1000$ higher than it should have been. Manual transmission to be replaced... 1500-2000$. Not only that but they refused to try and fix the current transmission, without even looking at the car. Must be too busy to charge reasonable rates.

As we wanted to see what had occurred with your vehicle, we searched our data and found that you had brought your 1999 VW Jetta in on May, 1, 2012 and didn't have any work done. As to your current complaint, I remember the conversation and explained that we would need to see the vehicle for an estimate. It was explained to you what the possibilities were and I gave you a worst case scenario estimate. It was my mistake in doing that as I thought you understood that, not having seen the vehicle, I didn't know what was wrong with it for sure. Thanks again for your time.

I would not let this place fix the chain on my bicycle. Brought my 81 delorean engine to them for a simple rebuild. “i'm very familiar with it” Jeff says. 2 ½ weeks later they never touched it. No calls to give me a status update. It had broken motor mounts so I told them it was just the lower crank shaft casing. He tells me no it’s the entire bottom end. Well I picked it up today. It’s the crank case like I had told him. Simply unbelievable. There are plenty of other places out there. Avoid this one.

These guys use a lot of scare tactics to get you to fix a lot of things that simply do not need to be fixed. And their prices are outrageous. I would not recommend them.

Mr. Pollak, We appreciate you taking the time to review our business. One of the responsibilities we have as a repair facility is to address anything we see that could be a potential safety issue. We don't use it as a sales/scare tactic. We use it to inform our customers as the majority of people like to know that their vehicle is safe for them and their family to drive. We brought my step sons car to this place as it was one of the closest to where he broke down. Its been about 6 months since the car was there but right after we picked his car up ... the radio didnt work. We didnt think much of it because the car is kind of old and has little issues here and there so we figured it was a fuse. I was going to leave the repair up to him so he could learn to trouble shoot a problem until he resolves it. It was only the radio so it wasnt holding up his life as the car still got him from A to B. Anyhow .. he gave up on trying to fix his radio and started using his mp3 player with his earbuds .. and never told me he gave up. Today he finally comes up to me and said he was bored the last few days and was cracking down on his radio issues and found the wire was cut clean and its the reason the radio has not worked. Now I have heard mixed reviews on this place but this is just flat out messed up! There is no reason why the mechanic should have been anywhere around the wires for his radio with the repairs that where needed when we brought the vehicle in! Its been so long now since we where there I felt the only thing I could do about this was to share it with others so they can be aware. I heard reviews that this place will fix your car problem you brought the car in for but makes future car issues so you will be back! I didn't believe the review until today! There are plenty of great mechanics out there so you should have no problem finding an alternative from Arie Nol if you are not a long time customer of theirs!! I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I struggled to find someone trustworthy to work on my Audi, I could tell you about all the horror stories I experienced at other shops including the local Audi dealer. But why waste our time. This place is top notch. I like that I have been able to speak with the person who works on my car. Also, ALL the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this shop, especially if you have an import.
