I cannot say anything positive about Arie Nol Auto Center. Even though the staff is polite, they deliver neither a quality or a reliable service. I had a very bad experience with replacement of a failed AC compressor (paid over $1000) in Sep 2015. Only 7 months later this "new compressor" suddenly started leaking. A FL mechanic looked at it and expressed doubts that the compressor was ever changed or the part was new on installation. I called Arie Nol and they advised to come to Michigan for an inspection, which I did. They VISUALLY inspected it, without putting any dye, assured me that the compressor was fine and that it's not possible that it would fail. How they came to that professional conclusion is still a big enigma to me. Then they gave me an estimate for over $1000 to fix the lines that could possibly have leaked Freon. At that time the compressor was under their 12 month warranty. Without resolving the problem by replacing the failed compressor under their warranty, Arie Nol gave me a run around. Three independent mechanics who looked at the compressor after that expressed doubts that the compressor was brand new when installed to start with. In other words, it's an ugly story that could have been avoided if Arie Nol cared about their professional reputation. In my opinion, Arie Nol ripped me off. I do not consider them a trustworthy service. I will never use them again and will never recommend any of my friends and family to go there. What a shame! And by the way, they never returned to me the old compressor that they replaced even though I ask them for that. It's a bad sign as I now know.
Ms. Popoua, Thank you for reviewing our business. Thank you also for complementing us on our politeness. We appreciate that immensely! Upon reviewing the report from your visits to us, we see that you originally came in for a non functioning A/C compressor on your 2006 BMW X3 on 9/15/15. We replaced your compressor with a new compressor. At the time you left our business and when you returned on 6/15/16 for a separate issue, the compressor was functioning. When you returned in June, you were having an issue with oil leaks which we inspected. At that time, you told us that you had other technicians that had examined your vehicle looking at the oil leaks. You reported to us that they felt the air conditioning compressor didn't 'look new.' We were looking at oil leaks and the A/C compressor is directly underneath the engine. The compressor did have a small amount of oil on it that had leaked from your engine onto it. We visually examined the compressor at that time and brought you into the bay to see the oil leaks and compressor. We assured you the part was new. There were no leaks and your vehicle was cooling correctly. If we had found a problem, we would have immediately warrantied your A/C compressor. You contacted us this week from your home in Florida to let us know that the compressor is leaking, according to your technician. The new A/C compressor that we installed on your vehicle is now over 2 years old and is out of warranty. We stand behind our work, our parts and our service. 11/3/17 - Our original response was to the original review. The newest edited version now has us asking the customer to bring the vehicle from Florida for an inspection and has her requesting her used part. We keep the used parts as we are required to by the state and, if she had asked us for the part, we would have handed it to her. We do value our business reputation because we value our customers. It is unfortunate that your two year old part failed and we wish you the best in finding a repair facility in Florida that meets your needs.
